Ultra Violet - Effect and Event Guide
Note: Ultra Violet is currently unfinished. Details here are subject to change.
Also, none of the characters save Sometsuki are named in-game, nor are any locations. Any names given here are entirely unofficial.
Beginning a new game prompts the instructions. It's the basic "go to bed to enter the dreamscape, collect effects, save at my desk" kind of thing. Then the camera fades in on Sometsuki.

The real world is as limited as usual. Trying to leave just makes Sometsuki shake her head, and there's very little to do in either her room or on her balcony.
Checking her PC opens this screen:

Icons:
- Recycle bin: Absolutely nothing.
- "Save": Lets you save the game, clearly.
- "W1", "W2", "W3" and "W10": These are options for the game's menu windows. W1, or "violet", is the default option and is dark gray with purple borders; W2, or "monochrome", is black with a white border; W3, or "silver", is light gray with a white border; and W10, or "violet II", is purple plaid with purple borders. You can unlock more options in the dreamscape.
- "Minigame": A bit of a staple of the Yume Nikki games is that you get a minigame to play in between dream sessions:
The goal of the game is to change the tiles on the floor by walking over them (they rotate through pink, blue and yellow) and keep making rows of four of the same color before time runs out. As usual, this game is completely pointless.
You enter the dreamworld via the bed, as usual. In Sometsuki's dreamworld bedroom, about the only noteworthy thing is that you can ride the chair at her desk, however this halves your speed and leaves you unable to collect or use effects.

If you head for the store:
The silver coin beside the vending machine can actually be picked up - this nets you 100 yen. Inside the store there will be 200 more yen to pick up. In the back left corner of the store there's a rabbit-eared cashier who will offer to sell you two things: the Rabbit Effect, and the Dream Book. (More on what that is later.) You will only have enough yen for the Rabbit Effect for now.
If you check the needle first:
You'll find yourself in the Needle Maze:

Needles with a gap through them are teleporters. In certain areas, there will be multiple needles. Each time you find one, go (left, right, right), like so:
...until you find a needle with red thread attached. Interacting with that will lead you to the Glass Elevator Maze.
From here on, the path is pretty straightforward. After the first elevator, take the path to the right and keep going until you find another branching path; take a left here.
If you've done all that correctly, you'll find a boy and girl who both have rabbit ears standing by a table. Interacting with the girl will net you the Rabbit Effect, free of charge.

Use for the Rabbit Effect:
Equipping it gives Sometsuki a pair of rabbit ears and a tail. Pressing the Shift key (your "use effect" button) will turn Sometsuki into a bunny. This doubles her speed and allows her to utilize certain passages (she can fit through them since she's so small).
Headless Effect
The Headless Effect can be found in the Meat World by finding a body with blood dripping off its neck. (This will require a lot of wandering, I'm sorry.)

Use for the Headless Effect:
Equipping it... makes Sometsuki have no head, obviously. Pressing Shift switches between a "no neck" version and a "bloody neck" version of the effect. It's mostly pointless save for about one event that we'll cover later.
Magician Effect
This is one of my favorite effects. Start by entering the Forest World, then head up and slightly to the right. You should find a small green building.

Checking this will lead to the Green Town Square. Head to the right and through the tunnel (the path is pretty straightforward). Eventually you'll come across a door that leads here:
From here, you need to find a wooden door (again, more wandering). Entering will reveal this room:
Interacting with this girl will give you the Magician Effect.
Use for the Magician Effect:
Equipping it gives Sometsuki a dark blue dress and braids. Pressing Shift makes Sometsuki ride a broom, which doubles her speed - it's basically a second Bunny effect without the annoying step sound while you're fast.
Lamppost Effect
Start by heading to the Ancient World. Head up until you find the blocky cliffs, then head to the right and find this staircase:

Follow the path from here until you find this:
This takes you to the Park. Find a short, turned off lamppost and check it for this effect.
Use for the Lamppost Effect:
This effect replaces Sometsuki's head with a lamppost. Pressing shift switches the lamp on/off, which can be used to light up dark areas.
