Irisu Syndrome!: Milestones / Secrets
At the beginning, you have four items in the game's folder: The readme, the game file, and a text file entitled "Curtain Rise", naming three characters (Edogawa, Uujima, and Irisu), and a picture file showing a blond boy (Edogawa, or "Edo"), a pink-haired girl (Age, or "Ageha") and a dark-haired boy (Uujima, or "Uuji").

Controls:
Colored blocks will fall from the ceiling. If they touch a white or gray block or hit the ground level, they will become Highlighted. Highlighted blocks will Highlight any other Falling blocks they touch, and will disappear if they touch a Ground-Level block of the same color. If a Highlighted block touches a Falling block of the same color, both blocks will become Glowing blocks. Glowing blocks will not Highlight other blocks, but they will make other blocks of the same color Glow if touched. If a Highlighted block hits the ground layer blocks but does not touch a block of its own color, the block will become un-Highlighted after a moment, and you will lose a little bit of health.
When your health bar hits zero, an image of Irisu fades in:
- Bottom Left - Level
- Bottom Center - Life Bar
- Center - Gameplay Area
Controls:
- Left-click - send up a small white block
- Right-click - send up a faster gray block
- Scroll - speeds up the game for a moment
- Spacebar - speeds up the game a lot

You will receive one of five pictures (in a set order). Each one, once unlocked, can be viewed in the Album on the menu screen. Clicking each image will present a conversation, as well as add a text file to the game folder. The conversations indicate that Ageha, Edo and Uuji were on some kind of trip, but first Edo, then Uuji mysteriously disappear. Also, as you collect pictures, the image file in the game's folder will change to scribble out whoever's gone missing.
ENDING SPLIT:
Bad End
If you consecutively score under 20k points, Irisu will be crying upon your fifth game over.
ENDING SPLIT:
Bad End
If you consecutively score under 20k points, Irisu will be crying upon your fifth game over.
At this point you are locked into the bad end. You play one more game, and then you enter a cutscene of a news update on the "missing university students". A decayed body has been identified as Edogawa's, while no other trace of the other students has been found. You hear a clattering sound and the game goes to the title screen.
In the game's folder, the picture shows all three characters scribbled out.
Good End
If you have scored 20k or more at least once, the cutscene is instead a one-sided conversation from Ageha wondering where the others are, before finding the pictures and messages you've been collecting the entire game. Ageha's puzzled for a minute, before she starts to challenge Irisu, saying that Irisu's trying to steal Uuji away from her. Meanwhile, the game opens an extra window and Irisu walks in from the side of your computer screen, with a nail bat in her hand and a shadow over her eyes.

Irisu swings at Ageha, and the game closes out of itself.
The next time you open up the game, though, you are instead treated to Edo and Uuji cheering "happy birthday" to Ageha, who is collapsed on the floor crying (for good reason, really). Edo and Uuji are particularly upbeat, and even Irisu wishes Ageha a happy birthday.

After this, playing the game again will not yield any pictures, so you can only view this ending once. The picture in the game's folder has gone back to normal, with all three characters shown.

Doing so after you've gotten the Good End will give you a new text file, which shows that Irisu still plans to kill Ageha, and the original photo with Edo, Uuji and Ageha has Ageha's face erased. On the title screen, a new icon - a cat head - will be present which, when clicked, will quickly show a few monochrome pictures, and a text box will mention a story about a cat, a rabbit, and a young girl. (Gee, who might that be?) You are then presented with a new title screen for "Irisu Syndrome! Metsu".
100k Stinger:
Before clicking the cat icon for Metsu mode, go back into the normal game and score 100k or more. You will be given a new text file and a new image file:

Metsu Mode:
Metsu Mode controls similar to the original game, with a few changes. Your health will not deplete naturally over time, and you've also got circles that are rising from below. Circles will fall once Highlighted, and will linger a moment before they disappear (as opposed to regular blocks, which implode immediately).
Upon your health depleting to zero, Irisu will still fade in as per normal...

...but you will not receive a picture or text file. (Nor will you run into any "bad end" - Metsu only has one ending.) You will, however, receive a notebook page - which, as you collect them all, reveal that Uuji had known Irisu as a child, when she'd tend to the class rabbit after school. Uuji already had a crush on her, but was too afraid to be the one to introduce himself. Instead, he decided to kill the class rabbit, thinking that the loss of her friend plus her schoolmates' pity would encourage her to talk to everyone else, and by extension him.
Unfortunately, Uuji had left the rabbit's head in the cage, and Irisu had seen it and been pushed straight over the edge. She'd stopped coming to school (and, according to the text file for Metsu, developed a game to keep calm - the game we've been playing all along), and both characters seem to not recognize each other. (Though ironically enough, both characters still fall for each other.)
Metsu Ending:
View every notebook page, then play again and score 50k or more. This time, Irisu will be facing the camera with a puzzled look on her face. You will be treated to dialogue between Edo, Ageha, Uuji, and Irisu discussing a photo they're about to take, along with an internal monologue from either Irisu or Uuji, stating that while they can't clearly recall what their "ideal ending" was, it certainly wasn't this.
But...

But...
Well, this is also fine.
On the title screen, Irisu will be facing the camera like the superimposed image that signals you beating the game. You also earn the final text file in the game, a part of Uuji's notebook, showing that he hadn't wanted to befriend anyone but Irisu, yet had somehow gained the friendship of Edo and the attraction of Ageha. He had been looking at Irisu's notebook (as she had been looking in his) and found her plans to kill Ageha under the pretense of a surprise party. Uuji expresses the wish for Irisu to kill him as well, to avoid being questioned by the police and therefore ratting her out, hence the 100k stinger (a suicidal rabbit, to drive her over the line, as opposed to the suicidal cats he'd been drawing for years).
Level 100 Stinger:
Undoubtedly the most difficult unlockable in the game, you need to play to Level 100 in Metsu Mode. At Level 100, the game will immediately end, and Irisu will be facing the camera with a smile on her face.

As with the Metsu ending, Irisu's smile shows up on the title screen once achieved.
Extras:
- That face that shows up upon getting 40k in normal mode? Play 12 games and then try to click away, and that face will pop up. It's not nice to break Irisu's focus. It only happens once, though.
- You can actually access Metsu mode either through a secret code or a glitch that activates the button after one game. Doing either will cause you to miss a huge chunk of the story, though.
- Speaking of glitches, if you go to Metsu's title screen, the 100k unlockable becomes unobtainable. (Though this may be intentional, as it's likely that Uujima would have disposed of the picture when Irisu actually went along with the surprise party, as now he'd have little reason to have her kill him. Irisu would have likely gone back to peeking at Uuji's journal as she'd managed to calm herself down more and more until she'd found the picture, which probably helped finalize her decision to actually kill Ageha this time.
- If you wait around on the title screen (or hold the spacebar to speed it up) the background to both menu screens will disappear, revealing what seems to be an excerpt from Irisu's diary. It says that Irisu had never made many friends due to moving so much, but she had gotten attached to the class rabbit and visited it every day until it had died (buy Uuji's hand, though she didn't know at the time) and she had found it's head in the cage.
- When you first start the game, you have three songs available (you can cycle through them by clicking the logo): About 10 Hours Today Looking at the Ceiling; Zero Communication, and I Didn't Talk to Anyone Again Today (all variations on the same idea). Metsu mode adds a few more songs to the list: A Cat, a Rabbit, and an Old Story (referring to the intro to Metsu); USAGI Note ("usagi" translates to "rabbit"); and I Thought I'd Like to be ed by Her (an excerpt from Uuji's notebook which you can find by beating Metsu).
